Album review: Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, Easy Living
Ella Fitzgerald's recordings with guitarist Joe Pass are among the finest of the final part of her career.
Together, between 1973 and 1986, they recorded four studio albums and toured extensively.
This one was their last, and it shows Fitzgerald in dynamic, playful form – check out the energetic Little Girl – and elegantly accompanied by the supremely tasteful Pass. The ballads are a particular treat.
