Matthew Elder is the deputy sports editor of The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday. Matthew took on this role in the summer of 2021 following a spell as the group's live football editor. Previous to this, Matthew was the sports editor of The Scottish Weeklies and covered Raith Rovers for a number of years for The Fife Free Press.
