Scottish Enterprise supports 800 jobs
ALMOST 800 jobs were safeguarded or created in the final quarter of 2009 after Scottish Enterprise paid out more than £7 million in regional selective assistance (RSA).


Grants totalling 7.28m were given to 27 businesses, which created 528 posts and secured a further 257.
Manufacturing industry received 23 per cent of the cash, while 21 per cent went to the aerospace sector.
The largest grant, 2.25m, went to Odyssey Financial Technologies, a company which writes software for asset management, to create 200 jobs in Glasgow.
