5. Porn Star Martini
Yet another martini completes the top 5 (although in reality it has very little in common with a classic martini). To make the Porn Star variant, shake up 60ml vanilla vodka, 30ml passoa, 1 tbsp lime juice, 1 tbsp sugar syrup and passionfruit seeds scooped from one fresh fruit. Pour into a martini glass, top up with Prosecco and garnish with a cut passionfruit. Photo: Canva/Getty Images

6. Cosmopolitan
For the perfect sweet and sour Cosmopolitan used a cocktail shaker to mix 45ml lemon vodka, 15ml triple sec, 30ml cranberry juice and 10ml lime juice. Then pour into a martini glass and garnish with either orange zest or a slice of lime. Photo: Canva/Getty Images

7. Mulled Wine
It wouldn't be Christmas without a glass of warm mulled wine. There are plenty of different recipes, along with supermarket pre-mixes, but for an easy version warm up a bottle of red wine, 1 sliced clementine, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 3 dried figs, 4 cloves and 3 black peppercorns in a pan. Once heated, remove the spices, ladle into a glass, add a little brandy and garnish with a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick. Photo: Canva/Getty Images

8. Old Fashioned
Taking minutes to make, to create an Old Fashioned simply mix 1 tsp of sugar, 2 dashes Angostura bitters, a splash of water and 60ml Scotch whisky or bourbon into a tumbler. Garnish with ice and an orange slice. Some also like the addition of a maraschino cherry and a dash of soda water. Photo: Canva/Getty Images
