Nicola Sturgeon tweets support for Independent Bookshop Week
Ms Sturgeon retweeted a list of Edinburgh’s independent book shops, writing: “A brilliant list of Edinburgh’s independent bookshops (would love to see same for Glasgow).
“Can’t wait to browse in some of these when shops again in a week.
“But check out their online shops too (I recently used @PortyBooks service & it was great),” she told followers.
She ended the tweet with the hashtag #IndiBookshopWeek.
The week, which runs from June 20 until June 27, is organised by the Booksellers Association, and is designed to celebrate independent bookshops in the UK and Ireland.
