Science is cool for cats – and for students

EDINBURGH Zoo's Sumatran tiger Tibor comes face to face with six pupils from Boroughmuir High School yesterday as part of a new science competition.

Do Something Creative – Do Science aims to show students that science can open up interesting and exciting opportunities.

Prizes include a chance to be a zookeeper for the day.

Professor Anne Glover, Scotland's chief scientific adviser, said: "This competition will open your eyes to the science behind some great careers. These are very special experiences that money just can't buy."
