SFA fined over Croatia flares


The travelling fans threw a flare on to the track around the pitch and also let off two smoke bombs during the October 15 Group A match, which Scotland won 2-0.
The matter was discussed by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday and the SFA, who were responsible for security at the game, were found guilty of breaching article 67, Liability for spectator conduct, and fined 10,000 Swiss Francs (£6,773).

Hide AdThe Croatian Football Federation were fined 15,000 Swiss Francs (£10,159).
A FIFA spokesperson said: “The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the Scottish Football Association with a fine of CHF 10,000 and issued a warning to the association for breaching article 67 after incidents of crowd disturbance among visiting spectators during the World Cup qualifier between Scotland and Croatia.”
