Billy Davies will not be considered for Rangers job - reports
The ex-Motherwell, Derby and Nottingham Forest boss was previously linked with the role in 2015, but will not be considered this time around.
Davies is thought to be interested in the role, but the Rangers board are unlikely to speak with the 53-year-old.
Davies caused a stir earlier this year when, in an interview with The Times, he said the Hearts manager’s role was beneath him, while also saying he’d have got the job at Tynecastle had Craig Levein listened to his demands to sack first-team coach Austin MacPhee.
Derek McInnes is believed to be the current front-runner to get the top job at Ibrox.
