Over 200 goals have been scored across 80 plus matches so far, all leading up to the the showpiece event in London.
Here is everything you need to know about when the Carabao Cup final is, what time it is due to kick off and if tickets are still available for the match:
When is the 2022 Carabao Cup final?
The 2022 Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) final will take place on February 27, 2022 at Wembley Stadium.
A kick off time has not been officially confirmed but the match traditionally begins at 4:30pm which was the kick off time of the 2021 final as well as four of the last five finals.
Chelsea booked their spot at Wembley after beating London rivals Tottenham Hotspur over two legs in their semi-final.
The Blues also overcame Premier League rivals Brentford, Aston Villa and Southampton in the competition.
Chelsea have won the competition five times in their history and last lifted the trophy in 2015 when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final.
Chelsea’s opponents were confirmed on Thursday evening as Liverpool claimed a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The two teams played out a 0-0 stalemate in the first leg but a brilliant brace from Diogo Jota was the difference in the second leg as Liverpool prepare for their first trip to Wembley since 2016.
Whatever happens, the trophy will be staying outside of Manchester for the first time in seven years with City having won an incredible five of the last six finals and Manchester United winning the other in 2017.
The winner of the competition also qualifies for the play-off round of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League but that is likely to not impact any of the teams taking part who are also chasing Champions League qualification through the league and will likely qualify for the Europa League should they miss out.
Are tickets still available for the Carabao Cup final?
Chelsea will begin selling their allocation of tickets to the event from Thursday, January 27 using a loyalty points system to distribute firstly to season ticket holders with an announcement to follow if any remain by Monday, January 31.
Liverpool are set to release initial ticket details on their website at 2pm GMT today.
Under 2s are not permitted into the stadium for the event.
With match tickets being divided between the two competing clubs, and non-season ticket holders likely to miss out on a seat, Wembley Stadium also offer Hospitality Packages through their official website.
