Rangers seal the deal for Arsenal’s Gedion Zelalem

Rangers have reportedly finalised a loan deal to bring Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem to Ibrox until January.

Mark Warburton managed to secure the 19-year-old, who was also being chased by English clubs Fulham and Birmingham, after the the youngster toured Murray Park and Ibrox last week.

According to reports, Zelalem will be present at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon to watch Rangers’ clash with Championship rivals Hibs. (Sunday Mail)

Rotherham United target Callum McGregor

Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor is reportedly in Rotherham United boss Steve Evans’ sights.

The English Championship side is hoping to snare the 22-year-old in a deal estimated to be worth £350,000 although a loan deal is also reportedly on the table.

Evans is rumoured to be targeting McGregor to help to strengthen his squad following an impressive display by the young player against Dundee United on Saturday. (Scottish Sun on Sunday)

Celtic set for disappointment over Martin Odegaard

Celtic look set to be disappointed as target Martin Odegaard is now widely expected to be retained by Real Madrid to continue his development this season.

The sought-after youngster was signed by the Spanish giants in January and continues to draw attention from other European clubs.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila was reportedly hoping to tempt the 17-year-old to Parkhead on loan this summer but Spanish newspaper AS is reportedly that Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez wants him to continue under the guidance of Zinedine Zidane this season. (
