Five Scotland players out for Gibraltar game

SCOTLAND have been hit by a raft of call-offs for Sunday’s dead-rubber Euro qualifier against Gibraltar in Portugal.

Leigh Griffiths, James McArthur, James Morrison, Charlie Mulgrew and Jordan Rhodes have all withdrawn for the game in Faro.

The Scottish Football Association confirmed the withdrawals in a message on its official Twitter account.

The game in Portugal against the Group D minnows is essentially meaningless after Scotland’s qualification hopes were ended by their 2-2 draw with Poland on Thursday, coupled with the Republic of Ireland’s 1-0 victory over world champions Germany.
