Warnock aims to fly high with Eagles
The Eagles are currently a lowly 19th in the Coca-Cola Championship with ten points from their opening ten matches, with that abject form coming on the back of a disappointing mid-table finish last term.
However, Jordan's ambitions lie in the Premier League and Warnock, who achieved promotion with the Blades, has been charged with the task of restoring Palace to the top flight.
"Peter was given every chance to turn the situation around but it hasn't happened," said Jordan earlier this week.
Palace is Warnock's ninth club and the 58-year-old will be attempting to add to the six promotions on his CV.
Former Manchester City and England defender Keith Curle has been linked with a role on the coaching staff at Selhurst Park, where Kit Symons had been in caretaker charge.
