This year’s contestants have been revealed and we can’t wait to see who couples up, hangs out in the hideout and - admittedly - who’s causing the drama.

The swimwear clad bunch are all ready for a summer romance - and so is the nation, as we commit ourselves to watch ITV2 at 9pm for the next eight weeks.

Fife lass Shannon is already an influencer on Insta and gaming social network, Twitch. The former glamour model shares snaps of her in lingerie, bikinis and figure-hugging dresses on her page, which has 188k. She claims some footballers have even slid into her dms, but wouldn’t name who.

Previous contestants have failed to return to normality, instead being paid to take hundreds of selfies to advertise everything from tan to soap powder, as the show is synonymous with the influencer lifestyle.

So, how are the singletons of 2021 ranking on Insta - and what do they post about? This is what we know.

With 71.8 thousand followers, Kaz already has the limelight on her, as she works as a fashion blogger. By the looks of her snaps, she could look good in a bin bag. Her wardrobe looks eclectic and she has also modelled for leading lingerie brand Boux Avenue.
Self professed gym goer and coffee lover Brad has 27,000 followers. Nan’s boy Brad, 26, shares snaps of hill walking, breakfast of champions and lads’ holidays. Love Island said if anyone needs a summer of love, it’s him. Looks like he’s had his fair share of bromance but no luck with the romance.
Miss International U.K 2018 Sharon Gaffka is an Oxfordshire girl who likes to wine, dine and lounge in enviable attire. She promotes herself as a ‘future lawyer’ while campaigning for the likes of free menstrual products for women and more general women’s rights issues, as part of her role as a ‘Young Women’s Trust ambassador’. Gaffka has an impressive 26.1k followers on her Instagram account.
Brummie blonde Liberty currently works at Nando’s while studying business at university. The 21-year-old shares snaps of her girls’ nights out on her Instagram, as well as comparing herself to Barbie - referring to herself as a ‘life sized doll’ and warning followers ‘no you can’t play with me.’ She currently has 21,000 followers on her Instagram.
Toby is a semi-professional football player who plays for ‘hashtag’ united, which he claims is a very social media inclusive team. It may be why he has a respectable 17.6k following on Insta, but he has only 17 snaps and the vast majority are action shots from playing football. In one snap, he commented that football is his valentine - looks like the girls have a lot to compete with.
Hugo has 17,600 followers, though when he was first announced as a contestant he had just a few thousand. It’s likely he hasn’t been so social media savvy because of his day job as a secondary school PE teacher. He is also a professional cricket player who plays for the national disabled athletes’ team. By the looks of his Insta, he loves a good cocktail and a fresh white shirt.
Self-professed alpha male Jake has only 14.5k followers on his Instagram, where his friends have described him as a “loyal, trustworthy, cheeky chappy” since it was announced he is going into the villa. He shares snaps of boys’ nights out, trips abroad and a few of the ladies in his life - his mum and niece.
Letting agent and fan of Netflix’s outrageous reality show ‘Selling Sunset’, Faye has a relatively low following of just 11.9k. She said of her day job: “I’m definitely there in the mini dresses, boobs out, bum out, turning up and you can see the wives say to their husband, “You’re staying outside”. It’s so fun.” It doesn’t sound too far from villa life, minus the wives. She also appears to love sunning herself, if her account is anything to go by. She’ll be right at home in the villa then.
With 10.7 thousand followers, Francis is performing well when compared to most of us (ahem, who else celebrated when they reached the 1,000 mark?) but doesn’t come close to some of the others. Aaron is a luxury events host in London, ensuring the likes of Billie Eilish and Stormzy are well taken care of. Here’s hoping he knows how to treat his partners with the same fuss and adoration. He is also a model, signed with Linden Staub Talent Agency, and regularly shares topless pics as he travels the world.
Bicester girl Chloe has only 10.5k followers on Instagram, where she shares snaps of her holidays, bottomless brunches and nights out. She is a financial marketing executive who describes herself as “funny”, and very active. While one of her Insta selfies says to ‘send nudes’, we hope she’ll appreciate just a text when she’s in the villa.
