Pippa Middleton column revisits Edinburgh University days

Pippa Middleton has offered an insight into her experiences of student life at Edinburgh University, where she spent afternoons making sushi in front of the rugby.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister has shed light on her undergraduate days in her first column for Waitrose’s monthly magazine, where she recalls coaxing flatmates into producing Japanese cuisine.

In her first magazine piece – entitled Pippa’s Friday Night Feasts – the 29-year-old pens her thoughts on how to start the weekend with a “relaxed, Asian-themed night in with friends”.

She writes: “The first time I made sushi was at Edinburgh University. I convinced my flatmates to help, promising we’d prepare it in front of the rugby on TV. The trickiest part was cooking the rice but even that, once we got a feel for the right stickiness, was easy, while the rolling just required patience.”
